Is a gateway necessary to use LoRaWAN devices?

A LoRaWAN gateway (similar to a router) connected to the Internet is required to use LoRaWAN devices and to connect them to our platform Assek-IoT. This gateway can be plugged into the Internet with an ethernet cable (recommanded), a WiFi connection or a SIM card.

The number of gateways required is dependant on the area you need to cover, but a single gateway is generally sufficient and can be ued to connect different types of devices in great numbers!
